Glossary
League
A League is the name given to the local competition organised by Spin. Each league is made up of 5 seasons per year. The best way of playing in a league is to play every season. This way players can play new and exciting matches with different people every season and stay active all year round.
Season
A season normally lasts seven to eight weeks and is what players need to register for every time they want to play in the league. Registering for a season means you will get allocated into divisions of 6-7 players based on your skill level (determined by your Spin Rating or your self-assessment if new to the league).
Division
A division is made up of 6-7 players who will be allocated according to their Spin Rating.
You are expected to arrange and play all of your matches in a 7 week period (about one match a week). As a result of playing your matches you will get points as explained in the League Rules. Once the season ends, the division winner and runner-up will also get additional points added to their Spin Rating which will help them get placed into a higher division the following season.
Spin Rating
The Spin Rating is a number which determines your skill level and gets updated as you play your league matches - the higher your number the better your skill level. More information
